No mints on the pillow?

Harrison Place may have its first anchor! Beyond the dead weight of the ney sayers in our community, which has been like an anchor tied to man's feet and tossed into the water, some great progress should be realized. The hotel is not a Budget Inn or Motel 6. (Though I think a Motel 6 would have been kind of cool, to drive downtown and see all the hotel lights on, never have seen that hotel with all of its lights on!!) This would be a Marriott. (Yeah, I could earn more points with all my plastic cards because I have Marriott rewards too!) This hotel has a spa, a pool, a fitness center. The hotel would add 250 rooms, a ballroom for meetings and receptions and all for a price tag of $47 million dollars. Fortunately, not many of the boo-hiss club of Fort Wayne has responded or picketed the concept. This is because of their own American Idol, Anna Nicole Smith, who passed away. With all the tv court battles, best of showings, and live up to the minute news, most of the people who complain about the idea of Fort Wayne growing with the times have become self absorbed in Anna. Perhaps a thought for the new hotel owners, consider adding a special Anna Nicole Smith corridor. I am sure that Fort Wayne ney sayers could not and would not bemoan this tribute. Sometimes when we think-like the foothills of the Ozarks we end up living-like the foot hills of the Ozarks. The debate continues and you should be a part of the discussion. In March, the community has an excellent opportunity to hear facts not stories about the proposed redevelopment of a section of Fort Wayne which has little economical impact and no recent corporate investment. Watch for more details about an event at the Allen County Library March 14 6:00 p.m. If you are a young leader or an old ram, be a part of the future. Your voice can be heard if you listen long enough to understand the discussion.

Even more important is coming to the
public hearing
on March 8th.

Everyone coming to the YLNI meeting on the 14th is basically supporting the Harrison Square project.

The meeting on the 8th needs those supporters.
