Finding new music has been a real bear this year already ... the television writers must also write songs because it has been slim pickings.
Luckily what is old is new again as Anne Murray headed back into the studio with some new singers, come country legends and even through modern technology a duet with Dusty Springfield (who is no longer with us).
The album does not break musical ground by any means, but it is a good listen. The song with her daughter Dawn is probably the best cut however, Shania Twain, Joan Arden and Martina McBride add much to new Murray renditions.
Few artists have albums on the horizon ... uggh... but Dolly Parton is slated for an end of February release. So are Dionne Warwick, k.d. lang, and Janet Jackson. So until then, it is old music as new ...
