Smile...

Now Fort Wayne's south side has had difficulty sustaining business for many reasons. The former Southtown Mall sat empty for years. The mall was tore down and sat empty for awhile before someone thought, hey, how about we build a Menards? Well, it was built and people began to shop. Then talks of a Walmart surfaced. Some Fort Wayne residents said..."Another Walmart?!" Well, no one said that about Pizza Hut or Walgreens when they popped up. Well, the Walmart was built and it was ready to open until someone thought...hmm, lets foreshadow the future that the south side of Fort Wayne will fail so lets blame RACE. Well, the NAACP spoke out and called for a boycott. Now, I am not a Walmart fan at all. I would rather be run over by a Citilink Bus, which I would not ride either, than go into a Walmart. But, I believe that a Walmart is commerce and the south side can use the boost. Well, today the Walmart opened and the boycott was called off. Maybe someone said, shut up and shop. Nonetheless, stay tuned because something good for Fort Wayne is never good for long.
