Wednesday

Hold your sandbag, please.

I am sure you remember, or have read, perhaps viewed it on TV that Fort Wayne saved itself twenty five years ago due to the flood. Community members alike came together to fill, pass and place sandbags in order to keep our city from floating away.
Tonight, however, community members alike will come together to sandbag the attempt to save our city. Harrison Square is an opportunity to take our flooded past and change it from blight to bright... with economic development.
Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana will host at the Allen County Public Library at 6:00 p.m. the opportunity to hear all sides of the story. See Hardball Capital, Political people, Downtown Development staff, young professionals and outdated older view points all gathered downtown to flood the emotional conversation and yield great facts. And, yes, there is plenty of parking!!
Imagine if Fort Wayne, twenty five years ago, sat back and thought 'lets just wait'. Imagine the region we now know as Fort Wayne would have been destroyed. Imagine if Fort Wayne passes by the economic opportunity placed in front of it.... we can't say 'lets just wait'.
Rock the vote! Shape our city! Share your thoughts! Sound off! Make history as YLNI hosts its first public forum and it could not be a more important topic. YOUR FUTURE.
