All good things come to a end...

Today a couple historical figures have ended. One is the famous "At the sound of the tone" telephone operator who gave us the time and temperature. She has been pink slipped into oblivion. For over seventy years this service has been around to help the time clueless or worried mothers know about the daily chill by simply dialing a telephone.

Locally, historical figure Bob Seivers has passed away. He provided over seventy years of his voice on the airwaves. He gave hope to lost animals being reunited with their owners. He made sure the Little Red Barn, on the farm, was kept in great order. He even crushed a few aspiring radio DJ's the hope that someday they, too, could be him. But nobody could Bob!

It is an end of an era for both time, temperature and talent. We won't forget the impact either voice had in our own lives.
