Dinner Club

The first dinner club met at Carbo's Diner. The exclusive site for food and fun that comes only by invitation.

Two of my foodie-friends and I take turns hosting a dinner at our homes. The host can select the menu, the theme and can invite a guest. I led the pack and it was upscale diner food with selections from the chef du jour.

Dinner began with a hearty beef stew and a shrimp and goat cheese salad. Followed by a chocolate cup with raspberries. Dinner was a selection of Pasta with a red or white sauce. Selections of vegetables, chicken, shrimp, sausage or meatballs. The fish selection was Talapia in a white cream with capers with choice of spinach, portabello cap or asparagus. Finally dessert was assorted cheese cakes or Fondue, or both. We did both. Top it with wine and laughter the recipe for success was followed and we all lasted about 4 hours in perfect heat.

By the way, this winter the dinner club would love to visit homes to see the holiday Christmas tree. We may sing a carol or two or none, honestly. If you decorate your home and want to show us some hospitality, just let me know. Also, if you are a closet foodie, or just enjoy eating, let me know and perhaps you can join the club some month.
