She has been very active in his campaign. She had been very active in local county politics and does know the players in our community. She has been involved in IPFW activities. She endorsed the American Red Cross campaign, this year. I have always enjoyed my chats with Marla.
Here is what I find somewhat odd. She has been behind the scenes supporting him (Kelty) but at the same time she could be his heir to the big 9th floor throne. Beyond the large number of children in the Kelty campaign camp, this has to be an oddity that even Kelty would say "I don't know anything about it"
It is almost like picking a Mayor and Vice Mayor because I have a hunch you get two for one at the voting poles come November 6. However, come January 1 you may only have one who is able to go to the 9th floor while the other may get a few hours a day to go outside to look up at the 9th floor. The blessing of having our jail downtown!

Zogby polls, campaign financing, felony charges, perjury, homophobia and his moral agenda aside ... THIS (this being Marla Irving) is the true dark secret of the Kelty camp ... their own little demon that could be forced down our throats much like his twisted sense of values.
To reposition Marla Irving within the city government by allowing her to side step the voters who removed her and the Republican party which sacrificed her would be a detrimental blow to the future of the city.
I know this woman. I know what kind of soul hides beneath the perfume, jewelry and blondness. It is dark. It lies, it cheats and it violates the integrity of any and all REAL values.
It's Halloween time ... so perhaps this analogy will make it clear:
If Matt Kelty is Dr. Frankenstein ... Marla Irving is his monster!
